Since safety or warning messages are frequently necessary on machinery or equipment, manufacturers should take into account the expected life of a product. When specifying the material and construction of these messages the standards offer these options: 1-the durability be sufficient to last the expected life of the product, or 2-provisions be made for periodic replacement of safety messages as is necessary.
